The Red-Letter Edition

I spent much of the weekend on the road, traveling nearly 800 miles in three days. I'm prone to motion sickness, so when I'm a passenger, I rarely attempt to read. Most long road trips in my life involved music. First on a cassette Walkman, then a CD Discman, and now an iPod. This was the first trip that I set aside music for podcasts. I listened to Rob Bell sermons at Mars Hill in Michigan and Rick McKinley at Imago Dei in Oregon. And new to my subscription download list: Steve Madsen at Cornerstone in California. His current sermon series, The Red-Letter Edition, is awesome. I've been to a couple services in person, but thanks to the technology of podcasting, I now have the complete series on my iPod.

i've been meaning to check out rob bell's podcast, i guess i better. i'll check out that other one too. you should check out revolution in new york if you get a chance. the pastor is jay baker (son of jim and tammy faye baker and star of one punk under God on sundance channel last year). he's very plain spoken and has a great concept of grace.

i tried to listen to the mars hill podcast and my mp3 player won't play it right. :-( it played it really slow, it did the same thing with the tony campollo podcast... i really should email the company and ask about that...
